Teapot Sculpture with Birds

Reminiscent of a fanciful teapot, this sculpture is decorated with birds and greenery that echo traditional oriental designs. The artist handbuilt this piece with the slabs technique, that entails two firings of which the second is devoted to create a special smoking process enhancing the green and gold highlights throughout.
