Be Celtic Tapestry

This striking round tapestry is part of the Book of Kells rug collection inspired by a 6th century illuminated Celtic manuscripts. Traditional celtic lettering characteristic of these texts was reinterpreted in this rug spelling the word “be”. While still retaining the traditions which inspired it, the fantastical illustrations in the text are strikingly modern. This piece, available in different sizes, was crafted in India by the hands of expert rug makers using a 90% wool and 10% silk blend.
